title: Investigation of spectral and magnetic properties of the two-dimensional strongly correlated electron system
reg no: ETF5548
project type: Estonian Science Foundation research grant
subject: 1.1-1.5. Exact Sciences
status: completed
institution: Institute of Physics at University of Tartu
head of project: Aleksei Šerman
duration: 01.01.2003 - 31.12.2005
description: Solution of the self-energy equations for the two-dimensional t-J model in wide temperature and currier concentration ranges. Investigation of the possibility for the inhomogeneous ground state in this model (stripes, phase separation). Calculation of the photoemission spectra from the obtained hole spectral functions in the regions of optimal and over doping. Calculations of magnetic correlations, correlation length, magnetic susceptibility, spin-phonon and spin-echo decay rates from the obtained spin spectral functions. Investigation of superconducting fluctuations in a lightly doped quasi-two-dimensional strongly correlated electron system.
