| description: | Investigate the wavelet expansions of functions with a given majorant of the modulus of continuity. As a result we would like to obtain descriptions of classes of functions in the case when the majorant does not satisfy the so-called Bari-Stechkin condition. Compute the exact values of norms of sampling operators defined by kernels which are certain linear combinations of shifted sinc-function. The most important case of these sampling operators is defined by the Hann kernel; because the numerical values their norms should be very close to one than we hope that also the order of approximation by these generalized sampling series will be good. |
