The project is aimed at evaluating the quality of Estonian individual-level birth records, bringing them into scientific use and corresponding analysis. Being a part of wider efforts in securing continuous and reliable information on long-term population trends, the project foresees in 2002-2003 work in two main directions: (1) feasibility study for constructing a databank for the period 1944-1959 (2) data analysis, preparation of the publication with accompanying CD-ROM. In the framework of the first direction, the databank and time-harmonised classification of administrative units is developed. The second direction foresees data analysis and preparation of the publication, accompanied by a set recalculated and harmonised data on CD-ROM. |
